This 60-minute professional development session will equip Asian Women for Health staff with foundational knowledge about female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C). The session will enhance AWFH staff capacity to recognize and respond to potential cases of FGC with cultural sensitivity when working with AANHPI communities. Participants will explore connections between FGC awareness and AWFH’s women’s health initiatives, consider implications for CHW training curriculum development, and identify pathways for integrating FGC prevention and support into community-based health education and advocacy work.
