This event will explore how different strategies have been effective in reducing FGM/C. The panellists from various grassroot organisations will share examples of initiatives that have been successful in reducing FGM/C, particularly in changing attitudes towards the issue, as well as the challenges and lessons learned from working with communities and stakeholders at all levels to end FGM. The event will be a space for knowledge sharing and partnership building towards a stringer more coordinated movement towards ending FGM/C globally.

Kaneez Madraswalla will represent Sahiyo, sharing insights on survivor leadership and community-centered approaches to ending FGM/C, drawing on evidence from Africa-led movement building.
